A method (100) for scene interpretation of an environment of a vehicle (200) comprises: receiving (101) environment sensor data (203) of at least one environment sensor (201) of the vehicle; performing (103) an object identification on the basis of the environment sensor data and identifying a first object (204) in the environment of the vehicle; performing (105) a scene analysis of the environment taking into account the first object and a second object (207) stored in a map view (205) of the environment, the scene analysis comprising: comparing (107) the first object with the second object of the map view on the basis of the environment sensor data; and providing (109) a scene interpretation of a vehicle control (400) of the vehicle on the basis of the scene analysis, in which scene interpretation at least a first object identified in the object identification that coincides with a corresponding second object of the map view is taken into account.
