Provided is a remote parking device capable of reliably determining that there is no abnormality in a brake device prior to the travel of a vehicle using remote parking control. The remote parking device controls the operation of a driving device for providing driving force to the own vehicle and the operation of a braking device for providing braking force to the own vehicle, and executes remote parking control in response to a command from the outside of the own vehicle. The remote parking control automatically controls the operation of the driving device and the braking device so as to enable the own vehicle to be parked at a designated parking place. The remote parking device executes a brake drive process in which braking force is supplied from the brake device to the vehicle and driving force is supplied from the drive device to the vehicle before the vehicle is driven by the remote parking control. When the host vehicle is maintained in a stopped state for a period from the start of the brake drive process to the elapse of a predetermined time, the host vehicle is driven by the remote parking control.

    提供能够在实施基于远程泊车控制的自身车辆的行驶之前切实地对制动装置没有异常这一状况进行判定的远程泊车装置。远程泊车装置对向自身车辆提供驱动力的驱动装置的工作和向自身车辆提供制动力的制动装置的工作进行控制,并且对来自自身车辆外部的指令进行响应来执行远程泊车控制,该远程泊车控制是自动地对驱动装置和制动装置的工作进行控制来使自身车辆停到指定泊车场所。远程泊车装置在通过远程泊车控制使自身车辆行驶之前执行在从制动装置对自身车辆提供制动力的同时从驱动装置对自身车辆提供驱动力的制动驱动处理,在从开始制动驱动处理起到经过预定时间为止的期间自身车辆被维持为停止状态的情况下,实施基于远程泊车控制的自身车辆的行驶。
