There is described a system for verifying the integrity of a fleet, in particular a railway fleet, comprising at least a first vehicle (RV1) and a second vehicle (RV2) wherein the system for verifying the integrity of a fleet comprises: a first control device (402) arranged to be coupled to the first vehicle (RV1), a second control device (404) arranged to be coupled to the second vehicle (RV2), and at least one communication device (N) arranged to allow communication between the first control device (402) and the second control device (404). The first control device (402) and/or the second control device (404) are/is arranged to determine that the integrity of the fleet (T) is compromised when the first control device (402) and the second control device (404) are no longer able to communicate with each other via the at least one communication device (N).
