The invention provides a role-based crane grading monitoring system, which comprises a crane driver monitoring module, a role monitoring module and a role monitoring module, and is characterized in that the crane driver monitoring module judges the running state of a crane by monitoring the running data of the crane; the crane management personnel monitoring module judges the operation effect of the crane by monitoring the working state of a crane driver; and the crane driver monitoring module and the crane manager monitoring module are in two-way communication. The invention further provides a hierarchical monitoring method based on the hierarchical monitoring system. The problem that in the prior art, due to all transmission, too much information needs to be processed by a driver, and driving of the crane is not facilitated is solved.
