A tracked trolley system (1) is provided with: detection target units (70, 84, 85) that are disposed forward in the traveling direction (D1) of a trolley (6) located at a predetermined position (P1) and that are detected by obstacle detection units (54A, 34A, 34B); and a controller (90) that determines the state of the obstacle detection units (54A, 34A, 34B) on the basis of the detection results of the obstacle detection units (54A, 34A, 34B) with respect to the detection target units (70, 84, 85), said detection results being obtained by the obstacle detection units (54A, 34A, 34B). The detected sections (70, 84, 85) are provided so as to be movable so as to enter the travel space of the trolley (6) when checking the operation of the obstacle detection sections (54A, 34A, 34B), and so as to retreat from the travel space of the trolley (6) when the trolley (6) passes through the entry position of the detected sections (70, 84, 85).
