The method comprises the steps that first coordinates of a target area on a first vehicle coordinate system corresponding to a vehicle and environment parameters of the first area where the vehicle is located currently are obtained, and the target area is used for representing the area where the vehicle is expected to run to; determining a first transverse moving mode of the vehicle based on the first coordinates; determining a transverse movement control parameter based on the first coordinate, the environment parameter and the first transverse movement mode; and controlling the vehicle to transversely move to the target area based on the transverse movement control parameters. The technical problem that in the related technology, the difficulty of controlling the vehicle to move transversely is large is solved.
