A friction coefficient calculation device that estimates an estimated maximum friction value ([mu] p) is provided with: a calculation unit (10) that calculates a slip rate and a friction coefficient; and a maximum friction estimation unit (20) that calculates an estimated maximum friction value using a tire brush model formula, which is a function relating to the slip rate of the tire brush model and has a plurality of parameters that change the slope, and a calculated slip rate (sc) and a calculated friction coefficient ([mu] c). The method is used for calculating the estimated friction coefficient of the slip rate in the micro area. The maximum friction estimation unit has a model calculation unit (21) that calculates tire model friction ([mu] m), and a parameter estimation unit (23) that estimates the value of the parameter. The parameter estimation unit includes a parameter limiting unit (232) that excludes values of parameters that make the tire brush model form a linear function and a quadratic function, and finds values of parameters that make the slope of the inflection point of the tire brush model form close to zero.

    估计估计摩擦最大值(μp)的摩擦系数运算装置具备:运算部(10),计算滑移率和摩擦系数;以及最大摩擦估计部(20),使用轮胎刷子模型式以及计算滑移率(sc)和计算摩擦系数(μc)计算估计摩擦最大值,该轮胎刷子模型式是与轮胎刷子模型的滑移率有关的函数,具有使斜率变化的多个参数,用于计算滑移率处于微小区域的估计的摩擦系数。最大摩擦估计部具有计算轮胎模型摩擦(μm)的模型运算部(21)和估计参数的值的参数估计部(23)。参数估计部包括参数限制部(232),该参数限制部(232)排除使轮胎刷子模型式成为一次函数和二次函数的参数的值,求出能够使轮胎刷子模型式的拐点的斜率接近0的参数的值。
