The method comprises the steps that if it is detected that a vehicle is ignited and started, PID parameters are obtained; determining a mileage statistical strategy matched with the vehicle according to the PID parameters; if the strategy is the driving mileage statistical strategy, determining a mileage change difference value every first preset time in the vehicle driving process, and updating the vehicle driving mileage based on the mileage change difference value; if the strategy is the speed mileage statistical strategy, updating the vehicle driving mileage based on a preset value when the change of the speed accumulated mileage each time reaches the preset value in the vehicle driving process; and if the strategy is a GPS mileage statistical strategy, determining a GPS positioning distance every second preset time in the driving process of the vehicle, and updating the driving mileage of the vehicle based on the GPS positioning distance. According to the method provided by the invention, the adaptive mileage statistical strategy can be automatically selected according to the PID support condition of the vehicle, so that the method is compatible with different vehicles.
