The invention provides a drive-by-wire system based on an off-chip multi-core chip, a communication method and a vehicle. The drive-by-wire system comprises a first control chip, a second control chip and a first driving chip, wherein the first control chip and the second control chip are arranged in a redundant mode, and the first control chip and the second control chip are in communication connection with the first driving chip. The first control chip is in communication connection with the second control chip through a first pin and a second pin. The first pin is used for sending a communication state detection signal of the first control chip and the first driving chip; and the second pin is used for receiving a reset enable signal of the first control chip. Through the line control system, the reliability of communication among multiple chips in the system can be ensured, and the safety in the field of automotive electronics is improved.
