The invention provides a flying robot which comprises a robot body, semi-through grooves are symmetrically formed in the two opposite side walls of the robot body; the traveling mechanism is installed at the bottom of the machine body through a lifting mechanism and can ascend and descend under the action of the lifting mechanism so that the traveling mechanism can stretch out or be contained in the semi-through groove, and when the traveling mechanism stretches out of the semi-through groove, the traveling mechanism is in a working state; when the driving mechanism is accommodated in the semi-through groove, the driving mechanism is in a stop state; and the flying mechanism comprises two duct assemblies symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the fuselage. According to the flying robot, by arranging the storable traveling mechanism, the traveling mechanism can be stored in the semi-through groove of the robot body, so that the overall dimension of the flying part of the robot body is still kept unchanged or slightly changed, an airflow field is not affected, the aerodynamic performance of the flying part is not damaged, and then the flying speed and the flying efficiency are improved; and a larger obstacle crossing space is provided during flight.
