本发明公开了一种电池包锁止机构、托架总成、电动汽车及电池包的锁止方法,锁止机构设置在托架侧壁,锁止机构用于将电池包解锁或锁定于托架,锁止机构包括固定部,固定部具有一锁定空间,当电池包相对托架被放置时,锁止机构用于将电池包上的连接部锁定于锁定空间;锁止机构在锁定空间的一侧设有朝向电池包,并沿水平方向进入托架的开口,以使连接部沿水平方向进入开口,并移入锁定空间。该锁止机构通过使电池包的连接部能够沿水平方向通过开口进入锁定空间,并利用锁定空间对连接部进行固定,使得电池包能够通过水平方向的位移实现相对托架固定的目的,以有效降低将电池包安装并固定于托架上的流程复杂程度与步骤繁琐程度。
