The embodiment of the invention provides a vehicle following method and device, a vehicle and a computer readable storage medium, and relates to the technical field of intelligent driving. According to the method, the following and stopping times of a vehicle following a front vehicle within a preset duration can be obtained; determining a target following stop starting condition according to the following stop frequency and a frequency threshold value; and following the front vehicle according to the target parking and starting conditions. According to the method, the vehicle-following starting conditions are dynamically adjusted to adapt to different congested vehicle-following scenes, so that the vehicle can be started at a proper starting time, and the situation that the vehicle is jammed by a vehicle on an adjacent lane due to too late starting in a frequent parking and starting scene can be avoided; and the safety risk of the vehicle caused by premature starting under the scene of infrequent following stop, starting and following stop is avoided, so that the vehicle use experience of the user can be improved.
