The present disclosure relates to a control device of an electric power steering (EPS) system. The control apparatus may include: a first steering controller including a first inverter, a first lock circuit connected to the first inverter, and a first gate driver controlling driving of the first inverter; and a second steering controller including a second inverter, a second lock circuit connected to the second inverter, and a second gate driver controlling driving of the second inverter. If the first steering controller operates normally, the first steering controller may send a second lock disabling signal to the second steering controller for disabling a second lock circuit included in the second steering controller.
