A steering presetting device (300) for controlling a vehicle (330) according to the steer-by-wire concept comprises a drive train (310) with a movable steering unit (301) and a drive device (302) with a drive motor (312) for generating a torque acting on the steering unit (301). The drive train (310) further comprises a controllable magnetorheological clutch (1) having at least two clutch parts (2, 3) that can be rotated relative to each other. The clutch (1) is connected in series in the drive train (310) with respect to the drive device (302). The torque that can be transmitted between the drive (302) and the steering unit (301) can be changed purposefully by means of the clutch (1).
