The invention relates to the technical field of battery management, in particular to a thermal management method of a power battery and a battery management system.The method comprises the steps that when a vehicle is in a thermal management working condition, the whole vehicle wheel end power of the vehicle is predicted; according to the whole vehicle wheel end power and the power transmission efficiency of the power battery, the whole vehicle required power of the power battery is predicted; and according to the current power battery state and the current cooling state of the power battery and the power battery power required by the whole vehicle, a heat management control action of the power battery meeting the preset energy-saving condition is generated, and the vehicle is controlled to execute the heat management control action. Therefore, the problems that power management of the power battery in the related technology has certain hysteresis and redundancy, when the vehicle enters cooling later or the power of the power battery is large/small subsequently, the power of the power battery is possibly reduced, so that the running of the whole vehicle is influenced, or the cooling amount is wasted, and the control of the power battery thermal management cannot be timely and accurately realized are solved; and the endurance mileage of a power battery of the vehicle is influenced.

    本申请涉及电池管理技术领域,特别涉及一种动力电池的热管理方法及电池管理系统,其中,方法包括:在车辆处于热管理工况下,预测车辆的整车轮端功率;根据整车轮端功率和动力电池的动力传递效率预测车辆的整车需求动力电池功率;根据动力电池的当前动力电池状态和当前冷却状态以及整车需求动力电池功率生成满足预设节能条件动力电池的热管理控制动作,并控制车辆执行热管理控制动作。由此,解决了相关技术中的动力电池热管理有一定的滞后性和冗余性,在车辆较晚进入冷却或是后续动力电池功率较大/较小时,可能导致动力电池功率下降影响整车行驶,或是冷却量浪费,无法及时精准的实现动力电池热管理的控制,影响车辆的动力电池续航里程等问题。
