The present disclosure relates to a method for routing an autonomous driving vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle. The method includes determining a lane-precise route from a starting point to a destination by using lane-precise map data, where determining the lane-precise route includes: for a plurality of travel sections between the starting point and the destination, ascertaining a lane suitable for automatic driving among the plurality of travel sections; and determining a lane-precise route, taking into account the lanes suitable for automatic driving of the plurality of travel sections, such that the time and/or travel on the lane-precise route is maximum for automatic driving.
