The invention relates to a locking system (1) for an emergency exit door of a rail vehicle, comprising an operating unit (2), a locking unit on the car-body side (A), and a locking unit on the door-leaf side (B), wherein the operating unit (2) is designed for receiving manually applied force action and for redirecting said force action to a pulling movement (3) of a Bowden cable (4). The locking unit on the car-body side (A) is provided with a slidably mounted bolt (5), which can be deflected from the rest position thereof by means of the pulling movement (3) of the Bowden cable (4), wherein the bolt (5) can be fixed in the rest position thereof by means of an electromagnetic blocking device (6) upon flow of current through said electromagnetic blocking device (6). The locking unit on the door-leaf side (B) is equipped with a latch bolt (7), which in the rest position thereof engages with a lock plate (8) on the car-body side, and which upon deflection of the bolt (5) can be slid from the rest position thereof to an unlatched position.
