According to the invention, - a DC-DC converter (DC/DC+, DC/DC-) is arranged in the positive potential line (HV+L) and/or in the negative potential line (HV-L), - a separating element (T+, T-) is arranged in the positive potential line (HV+L) and/or in the negative potential line (HV-L), - a processing unit (7) is provided which is designed to analyze the measured voltage(s) and to actuate the respective separating element (T+, T-) in an opening manner, - one or more trigger criteria are specified which relate(s) to the measured voltage or to the measured voltages, and - the processing unit (7) is designed to actuate the respective separating element (T+, T-) in an opening manner in the event that a trigger criterion or one of the plurality of trigger criteria or all of the trigger criteria are ascertained.
