PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a force necessary for diameter-contracting a snap ring 20a.SOLUTION: An axial single end face of a snap ring 20a is formed into an inclined face 29 which is inclined to a direction in which an inside diameter becomes smaller as progressing toward an axial other end. A portion shifted to the axial other end of a pinion shaft 6 is made to penetrate the snap ring 20a in a state that the axial single end face of an inner ring 17 abuts on an inside-diameter side stepped face arranged at a middle of the pinion shaft 6. Then, the portion shifted to the axial other end of the pinion shaft 6 is made to penetrate a caulking tool 31 which is arranged at an inclined face part 30 which is inclined to a direction in which the inside diameter becomes smaller as progressing toward the axial other end at an internal peripheral face, and the caulking tool 31 is pressed against an axial single side.
