PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive support device capable of notifying a driver of information related to another vehicle detected by inter-vehicle communication and an on-vehicle sensor, at proper timing and a proper notification level, respectively.SOLUTION: A vehicle drive support device (2) comprises: an on-vehicle sensor group (4) for detecting another vehicle (44); an inter-vehicle communication system (10) for receiving, from another vehicle (42), other vehicle information including a position, a travel direction and speed of the vehicle; a collision possibility determination part (30) for determining the possibility of collision between an own vehicle (1) and another vehicle, based on the other vehicle information; an output device (14) for notifying a driver of presence of the other vehicle; and a notification control part (32) for, after the notification of presence of the other vehicle with which it is determined that the own vehicle may collide, outputting information for notifying the driver of presence of the other vehicle detected by the on-vehicle sensor group at a first notification level when a drive operation for avoiding collision with the other vehicle has not been performed, and outputting the information at a second notification level being higher than the first notification level when the drive operation for avoiding collision has been performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
