PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vehicle body front variable structure which can set an energy absorption amount generated by a crush box to a proper amount according to a magnitude of a collision load from a vehicle front side.SOLUTION: An impact absorption part 18A of a crush box 18 is supplied with a gas therein, elongated in a length to a vehicle fore-and-aft direction, and can elongate a crush margin which can absorb a collision load from a vehicle front side. The impact absorption part 18A of the crush box 18 includes a first wall part 44 and a second wall part 46 which are continuously arranged to the vehicle fore-and-aft direction via a crest part 36. Then, recesses for enlarging a surface area of an internal face 48 at the internal face 48 side of the impact absorption part 18A are formed at the first wall part 44 and the second wall part 46. Therefore, in the first wall part 44 and the second wall part 46, areas for receiving the pressure of a gas generated in an inflator are enlarged, and the moment for expanding the first wall part 44 and the second wall part 46 is generated with the crest part 36 as a center.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車両前方側からの衝突荷重の大きさに応じて、クラッシュボックスによるエネルギー吸収量を適切な大きさすることができる車体前部可変構造を得る。【解決手段】クラッシュボックス18の衝撃吸収部18Aは、その内部にガスが供給されて車両前後方向に伸長し、車両前方側からの衝突荷重を吸収可能な潰れ代を長くすることができる。また、クラッシュボックス18の衝撃吸収部18Aが山部36を介して車両前後方向に連続して配置された第1壁部44と第2壁部46とを含んで構成されている。そして、第1壁部44及び第2壁部46には、衝撃吸収部18Aの内面48側に当該内面48の表面積を拡大する凹部が形成されている。このため、第1壁部44及び第2壁部46では、インフレータで発生したガスの圧力を受ける面積が大きくなり、山部36を中心に第1壁部44と第2壁部46とを広げるモーメントが発生する。【選択図】図1
