PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a congestion degree calculation device capable of properly detecting a congestion degree on a lane in real time, without use of a peripheral information of a district where a vehicle is traveling and a statistical technique.SOLUTION: A congestion degree calculation device includes a congestion degree calculation unit 2 which calculates a congestion degree on other lanes on the basis of a relative difference between a speed of a self-vehicle which moves on one lane of a road comprising a plurality of lanes where vehicles move in the same direction and a speed of other vehicles moving on the other lanes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
