PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for extension of a mooring cable by which efficiency of a mooring work can be achieved, a method for mooring a floating body structure and a method for construction of a floating body type offshore wind power generation facility.SOLUTION: A method for extension of a mooring cable used when mooring a floating body structure in a water area has: a process in which a first mooring cable 30A having a loading possible length is loaded on a service platform vessel and is transported to the water area; a process in which the first mooring cable 30A and an anchor 32 connected to one end of the first mooring cable 30A are lowered into water from the service platform vessel and are temporarily located on a water bottom G in the water area; and a process in which the other end of the first mooring cable 30A, which is temporarily located on the water bottom G, is pulled up in water, and said other end and one end of a second mooring cable 30B for extension are connected thereby extending a mooring cable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
