PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing spline processing method by which both of high precision of spline and simplification of a metal mold and a processing facility are achieved.SOLUTION: A spline processing method for a wheel bearing comprising an outward member and an inward member, and rolling elements of plural rows interposed between the outward member and the inward member, by which a spline 39 with an interference is formed on an inner periphery of the inward member, and a guide spline 44 is formed on an inboard side end part of the spline 39 with the interference. In the method, a spline formation inner peripheral surface on which the spline with the interference and the guide spline are formed, and a relief part 52, which is positioned on an out-board side with respect to the spline formation inner peripheral surface and has a diameter larger than the spline formation inner peripheral surface, are formed on an intermediate component 1' of the inward member, a punch for use in spline processing is constituted by a built-in type spline punch for forming the spline with the interference, and the spline formation inner peripheral surface is pressed by the built-in type spline punch, thereby forming the spline 39 with the interference and the guide spline 44.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
