PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt transmission device having a toothed belt in which tension is not imbalanced even if a rotating shaft of a pulley is inclined by the tension of the belt, which is long in a life, and in which an operation sound is small, and a power steering device having the belt transmission device.SOLUTION: A belt transmission device 30 comprises: housings 31, 11b; a motor M; a first bearing part 32 and a second bearing part 33; a first rotating shaft 37; a drive pulley 36; a second rotating shaft 21; a driven pulley 34; and a toothed belt 35. The first rotating shaft is inclined to a reference axial line by the tension Pf of the toothed belt 35, and the drive pulley 36 fixed to the inclined rotating shaft is formed into a truncated cone shape. Pitches Pt of teeth 36b of the drive pulley are formed small as progressing toward a small-diameter side, and formed large as progressing toward a large-diameter side. 【課題】プーリの回転軸がベルトの張力によって傾動しても、張力がアンバランスにならない長寿命で且つ作動音の小さな歯付ベルトを備えたベルト伝動装置、及びベルト伝動装置を備えるパワーステアリング装置を提供する。【解決手段】ベルト伝動装置30は、ハウジング31,11bと、モータMと、第一軸受部32及び第二軸受部33と、第一回転軸37と、駆動プーリ36と、第二回転軸21と、従動プーリ34と、歯付ベルト35と、を備える。歯付ベルト35の張力Pfにより、第一回転軸が、基準の軸線に対して傾動し、傾動する回転軸に固定される駆動プーリ36は、円錐台形状に形成される。駆動プーリの歯36bのピッチPtは、小径側ほど小さく形成され、大径側ほど大きく形成される。また、歯付ベルト35の歯のピッチPtは、歯付ベルト35の幅方向に亘って一定に形成される。【選択図】図5
