Transmission output adjustment means 32 of the transmission means 3 acquires, from the transmission output correction table 31, a transmission power value or a correction value of transmission power corresponding to relative position coordinates of a surrounding vehicle, and determines the transmission power when own vehicle traveling information is transmitted to the surrounding vehicle. 【課題】電波伝搬特性が疎である領域に位置する周辺車両との通信を確実に成立させることができると共に、通信の輻輳を回避することが可能な車車間通信装置を提供する。【解決手段】車車間通信装置1の送信手段3は、自車両から送信する電波の伝搬特性に応じた送信電力値または送信電力の補正値を、自車両の進行方向を軸とする座標上の領域に対応させて設定した送信出力補正テーブル31を備えている。送信手段3の送信出力調整手段32は、周辺車両の相対位置座標に対応する送信電力値または送信電力の補正値を送信出力補正テーブル31から取得し、自車両走行情報を周辺車両に送信する際の送信電力を決定する。これにより、電波伝搬特性が疎である領域に位置する周辺車両との通信を確実に成立させることができると共に、通信の輻輳を回避することが可能である。【選択図】図1
