To provide a switch failure detection device reducing noise and a burden of a switch at a large current, and capable of accurately detecting a switch failure even at a small current.SOLUTION: A current detecting portion 14 detects currents I1 to I6 respectively flowing in a plurality of branch paths L1 to L6. A micro computer 15 controls to turn off one of the plurality of switches Q1 to Q6 and to turn on the rest, and sequentially switches one of the plurality of switches Q1 to Q6 which are controlled to turn off, when a large current flows in a current path L0, . The micro computer 15 detects the failure of the switches Q1 to Q6 on the basis of the current I1 to I6 detected at that time. The micro computer 15 controls to turn on one of the plurality of switches Q1 and Q6 and to turn off the rest, and sequentially switches the plurality of switches Q1 to Q6 controlled to turn on, when a small current flows in the current path L0. The micro computer 15 detects the failure of the switches Q1 to Q6 on the basis of the currents I1 to I6 detected at that time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】大電流時にノイズ低減及びスイッチの負担低減を図り、小電流時でも精度よくスイッチの故障を検出できるスイッチの故障検出装置を提供する。【解決手段】電流検出部14が、複数の分岐経路L1〜L6に各々流れる電流I1〜I6を検出する。マイコン15が、電流経路L0に大電流が流れている場合に、複数のスイッチQ1〜Q6の1つをオフ制御し、残りをオン制御すると共に、オフ制御する複数のスイッチQ1〜Q6の1つを順次切り替える。そして、マイコン15は、このとき検出される電流I1〜I6に基づいてスイッチQ1〜Q6の故障を検出する。マイコン15が、電流経路L0に小電流が流れている場合に、複数のスイッチQ1〜Q6の1つをオン制御し、残りをオフ制御すると共に、オン制御する複数のスイッチQ1〜Q6を順次切り替える。そして、マイコン15は、このとき検出される電流I1〜I6にも同いてスイッチQ1〜Q6の故障を検出する。【選択図】図1
