To set a value of a coefficient of friction between a tire and a road surface, by making use of viscoelasticity of a rubber, when a computer performs a simulation of the tire rolling on the road surface, without need for setting so that a computed result of the simulation matches an actual measured value.SOLUTION: In a simulation method of a tire, a computer obtains rubber friction information in which a relation between ground contact pressure at the time when a rubber having the same viscoelasticity characteristics as a tread rubber of the tire contacts a road surface and a value of a coefficient of friction with respect to a sliding speed of the rubber at the time when the rubber slides at the sliding speed with respect to the road surface is mapped. The computer, when performing a simulation of the tire, computes a coefficient of friction at each position on a ground contact area using the rubber friction information, from information about ground contact pressure at each position on the ground contact area on which the tire contacts the road surface and information about sliding speeds with respect to the road surface at each position on the ground contact area, and performs the simulation of the tire using the computed coefficient of friction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】路面を転がるタイヤのシミュレーションをコンピュータが行う際に、タイヤと路面の間の摩擦係数の値を、シミュレーションの計算結果が実測値に合うように設定する必要がなく、ゴムの粘弾性特性を利用して設定する。【解決手段】タイヤのシミュレーション方法では、コンピュータは、前記タイヤのトレッドゴムと同じ粘弾性特性を有するゴムが路面と接するときの接地圧、及び、前記ゴムが前記路面に対して滑り速度を持って滑るときの前記ゴムの滑り速度に対する摩擦係数の値の関係をマップ化したゴム摩擦情報を取得し、前記コンピュータは、前記タイヤのシミュレーションを行うとき、前記タイヤが前記路面と接する接地面の各位置における接地圧の情報及び前記接地面の各位置における前記路面に対する滑り速度の情報から、前記ゴム摩擦情報を用いて前記接地面の各位置における摩擦係数を計算し、計算した前記摩擦係数を用いて前記タイヤのシミュレーションを行う。【選択図】図4
