To provide a rubber composition for tires which achieves both a high elastic modulus and low heat build-up properties, is excellent in steering stability, and is capable of increasing a vulcanization rate.SOLUTION: The rubber composition for tires is obtained by blending 100 pts.mass of a diene rubber containing 30-100 pts.mass of at least one selected from the group consisting of a natural rubber and a synthetic isoprene rubber with: 30-80 pts.mass of carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area (N2SA) of 30-80 m2/g; and 0.5-10 pts.mass of a phenolic resin having at least one ethyleneamine-derived structural unit represented by -(NH-C2H4)- in the molecule.SELECTED DRAWING: None
