To provide a vehicle body rear part structure that is able to sufficiently absorb an impact load input to a vehicle body rear part, without increasing the vehicle weight.SOLUTION: A vehicle body rear part structure includes: a pair of rear side frames 2, left and right, extending substantially along a vehicle longitudinal direction; and a rear floor panel 3 to which a pair of rear side frames 2 are coupled in a front area where a rear seat is disposed. A rear part area of the rear floor panel 3 is composed of a double panel structure 14 having an upper wall and a lower wall 12. A rear part area of the rear floor panel 3 extends further toward a vehicle rear side than the rear side frames 2. The respective rear ends of the rear side frames 2 have inclined support portions 20 inclined inward in a vehicle width direction and toward a vehicle front side. The double panel structure 14 is coupled to the inclined support portion 20 of each rear side frame 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
