To speed up connection and authentication in radio communication between an on-vehicle machine and a roadside machine.SOLUTION: A communication system includes: an on-vehicle machine (4) which is mounted in a vehicle (40); a roadside machine (3); and a communication monitoring server (20). The roadside machine transmits first information to be used by the on-vehicle machine during traveling of the vehicle to the on-vehicle machine by first radio communication. The communication monitoring server transmits second information to be used for performing authentication with the roadside machine by the on-vehicle machine to the on-vehicle machine by second radio communication. The second information includes reception state channel information and authentication possible range information. The reception state channel information shows a designated frequency channel in an usable state in the first radio communication with the roadside machine by the on-vehicle machine, of a plurality of frequency channels provided in the roadside machine. The authentication possible range information shows an authentication possible range estimated that the on vehicle machine can perform authentication with the roadside machine. The on-vehicle machine starts authentication with the roadside machine using the designated frequency channel after the vehicle enters the authentication possible range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車載機と路側機との無線通信における接続および認証を高速化する。【解決手段】通信システムは、車両(40)に搭載された車載機(4)と、路側機(3)と、通信監理サーバ(20)とを備える。路側機は、車両の走行中に車載機が用いる第1の情報を第1の無線通信によって車載機に送信する。通信監理サーバは、車載機が路側機との認証を行うために用いる第2の情報を第2の無線通信によって車載機に送信する。第2の情報は、受信状態チャネル情報と、認証可能範囲情報とを含む。受信状態チャネル情報は、路側機が有する複数の周波数チャネルのうち、車載機が路側機との第1の無線通信において使用可能な状態にある指定周波数チャネルを表す。認証可能範囲情報は、車載機が路側機との認証を行えると推定される認証可能範囲を表す。車載機は、車両が認証可能範囲に入った後に指定周波数チャネルを用いて路側機との認証を開始する。【選択図】図1
