To provide an electromagnetic brake device capable of suppressing impact when a movable iron core collides with a fixed iron core without requiring major modifications, and an elevator hoist.SOLUTION: A movable core 32 has an iron core body 44, a pair of split iron core pieces 45, and a displacement mechanism 46. Each split core piece 45 is displaceable between a close position and a separated position. The displacement mechanism 46 positions each split iron core piece 45 in the close position when the iron core body 44 is in a first position, and positions each split iron core piece 45 in the separated position when the iron core body 44 is in a second position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】大掛かりな改造を必要とすることなく、可動鉄心が固定鉄心に衝突する際の衝撃を抑制することができる電磁ブレーキ装置及びエレベータ巻上機を得ることを目的とする。【解決手段】可動鉄心32は、鉄心本体44と、一対の分割鉄心片45と、変位機構46とを有している。各分割鉄心片45は、近接位置と離隔位置との間で変位可能である。変位機構46は、鉄心本体44が第1位置に位置するときに各分割鉄心片45を近接位置に位置させ、鉄心本体44が第2位置に位置するときに各分割鉄心片45を離隔位置に位置させる。【選択図】図1
