The present invention relates to an electric vehicle charger for high-speed demand response for real-time response to a change and intermittence in a renewable energy-based power system. The electric vehicle charger according to an embodiment can include: a charging unit that charges an electric vehicle by supplying power; a frequency measurement unit that measures the frequency of the power system in real time while charging the electric vehicle; and a power control unit that controls charging power of the electric vehicle in real time based on the measured frequency and control reference.
