According to an embodiment of the present invention, an airbag deployment method comprises: a collision recognition step of sensing a vehicle collision; a passenger detection step of sensing whether a passenger seated in a seat of the vehicle is a child or an adult; and an airbag deployment step of deploying an airbag depending on the sensed type of passengers. In the passenger detection step, if the sensed passenger is a child, a low-pressure first chamber is deployed in the airbag deployment step.

    본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 에어백 전개 방법은 차량의 충돌을 감지하는 충돌 인식 단계, 차량의 좌석에 탑승한 승객의 유형을 구분하는 승객 감지 단계, 및 상기 승객의 구분에 따라 에어백을 전개하는 에어백 전개 단계를 포함하며, 상기 승객 감지 단계에서, 승객이 어린이도 감지되는 경우 상기 에어백 전개 단계에서 저압의 제1 챔버가 전개되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
