The present invention relates to a lightweight engine compartment which is formed by forming the top and bottom surfaces using composite layers and forming a multilayered structure made of a core material for cutting off the transfer of heat and sounds inside thereof. The lightweight engine compartment for a composite structure secures rigidity and strength enough for supporting a passenger load through a single part by pressing and attaching both surfaces of a core using composite layers during a manufacturing process and reduces work time and loads during a chassis assembling process by placing the engine compartment on a chassis side supporting structure.
본 발명은 복합재 레이어를 이용해 상하면을 형성하고 내부에 열전달 차단 및 차음을 위한 코어(Core) 재질로 된 다층구조의 엔진 컴파트먼트를 구성하도록 이루어진다. 상기와 같은 구성의 엔진 컴파트먼트는 제조공정상 코어의 양면을 복합재 레이어로 가압부착함으로써 단일 부품으로 성형하여 승객하중을 지지하기에 충분한 강성과 강도를 확보한 복합재 구조물의 엔진 컴파트먼트를 구성하고, 이를 차체 측면 지지 구조물 위에 얹히도록 함으로써 차체조립공정에서의 작업공수를 절감하는 경량소재 엔진 컴파트먼트를 구성한다.
