The present invention provides a system for sensing the height of an obstacle for parking assistance, which measures the height of the obstacle (for example, curb) adjacent to the side of a vehicle when automatic parking is made in a space where the parking is possible by a parking assist system, and can secure a space for movement of the vehicle beyond the obstacle in case of automatic parking when it is determined that the vehicle has a height that can pass over the obstacle.

    본 발명은 주차 보조 시스템에 의하여 주차 가능한 공간에 자동 주차가 이루어질 때, 차량의 측부와 인접한 장애물(예를 들어, 연석)의 높이를 측정하고, 높이 측정 결과 차량이 장애물을 넘어 그대로 통과 가능한 높이로 판정되면, 자동 주차시 차량의 동선 공간을 장애물을 넘어선 공간까지 보다 넓게 확보할 수 있도록 한 주차 보조를 위한 장애물 높이 측정 시스템을 제공하고자 한 것이다.
