The present invention relates to a vehicle driving control apparatus and a method thereof, wherein the vehicle driving control apparatus includes: a detection unit that detects road environment identification objects provided in a road infrastructure by being formed in a differentiated pattern to correspond to a road environment; and a driving control unit that grasps a vehicle driving state or the road environment based on the detection result of the road environment identification objects detected by the detection unit and controls the vehicle driving according to the determined driving state or road environment when it is determined that the normal operation of a vision system installed in the vehicle for controlling the vehicle driving is not expected.
본 발명은 차량의 주행 제어 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 도로 환경에 대응되도록 차별적인 패턴으로 형성되어 도로 인프라에 구비된 도로 환경 식별체를 감지하는 감지부, 및 차량의 주행 제어를 위해 차량에 장착된 비전 시스템(Vision System)의 정상 동작을 기대할 수 없는 것으로 판단된 경우, 감지부가 도로 환경 식별체를 감지한 감지 결과에 근거하여 차량의 주행 상태 또는 도로 환경을 파악하고, 파악된 주행 상태 또는 도로 환경에 따라 차량의 주행을 제어하는 주행 제어부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
