An electronic brake system according to one embodiment of the disclosed invention comprises: a hydraulic pressure supply apparatus which generates a hydraulic pressure by moving a piston toward the front or the back depending on a pedal effort of a brake pedal; a motor position sensor which detects the position of the piston; a pressure sensor which detects the hydraulic pressure supplied by the hydraulic pressure supply apparatus; and a control unit which determines whether a predetermined target pressure is able to be achieved based on the position of the piston when the detected hydraulic pressure is larger than the predetermined target pressure and controls a direction change of the piston based on whether the predetermined target pressure is able to be achieved. According to the electronic brake system, a braking pressure is efficiently generated and thereby the performance and operational reliability of the system is improved.

    개시된 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 전자식 브레이크 시스템은 브레이크 페달의 답력에 따라 피스톤을 전진 방향 또는 후진 방향으로 이동시킴으로써 액압을 발생시키는 액압 공급장치; 피스톤의 위치를 감지하는 모터 위치 센서; 액압 공급장치로부터 공급된 액압을 감지하는 압력 센서; 및 감지된 액압이 미리 정해진 기준 압력 이상인 경우, 피스톤의 위치에 기초하여 미리 정해진 목표 압력의 확보가 가능한지 여부를 결정하고, 미리 정해진 목표 압력의 확보가 가능한지 여부에 기초하여 피스톤의 방향 전환을 제어하는 제어부;를 포함한다.
