Disclosed is a brake system for a vehicle and a control method thereof. By one embodiment of the present disclosure, the method for controlling a brake system of a vehicle including a regenerative brake unit forming a regenerative braking force, and a plurality of wheel brake devices mounted on different wheels to form a hydraulic braking force, includes the following procedures of: receiving a wheel speed, wheel acceleration and braking pressure information of the wheel brake devices; determining the hydraulic braking efficiency of the wheel brake devices based on the wheel speed, the wheel acceleration and the braking pressure information; and correcting a required regenerative braking force by using the hydraulic braking efficiency to compensate the hydraulic braking force reduced due to a decline in the performance of the wheel brake devices. Therefore, the present invention is capable of generating the required braking force corresponding to a braking signal despite the decline in the performance of the wheel brake devices.

    차량용 브레이크 장치 및 그 제어방법을 개시한다. 본 개시의 일 실시예에 의하면, 회생제동력을 형성하는 회생제동부(regenerative brake unit), 서로 다른 휠에 장착되어 유압제동력을 형성하는 복수의 휠브레이크 기구(wheel brake device)를 포함하는 차량의 브레이크 장치 제어방법에 있어서, 휠속, 휠가속도 및 휠브레이크 기구의 제동압력 정보를 수신하는 과정; 휠속, 휠가속도 및 제동압력 정보를 기초로 휠브레이크 기구의 유압제동 효율을 결정하는 과정; 및 휠브레이크 기구의 성능이 저하됨 따라 감소한 유압제동력을 보상하도록 유압제동 효율을 이용하여 요구 회생제동력을 보정하는 과정을 포함하는, 차량의 브레이크 장치 제어방법을 제공한다.
