In accordance with the present invention, a system for predicting a failure in a drivetrain of an in-wheel motor-driven vehicle, includes: a sensor input part including a steering torque sensor sensing power steering torque to generate steering torque data, a steering measurement sensor sensing a steering angle to generate steering angle data, and an acceleration sensor sensing the acceleration of the vehicle to generate acceleration data; a calculation part estimating power steering torque through a preset algorithm based on the steering angle data and the acceleration data; and a failure determination part comparing the power steering torque estimated by the calculation part with the steering torque data to determine whether a failure has occurred in a drivetrain including an in-wheel motor and an inverter. Therefore, the present invention is capable of eliminating the need for additional equipment and improving the stability of the vehicle.

    본 발명에 따른 인휠 모터 구동 차량의 구동계 고장 예측시스템은, 파워 스티어링 토크를 센싱하여 스티어링 토크데이터를 생성하는 스티어링 토크센서와, 스티어링 각도를 센싱하여 스티어링 각도데이터를 생성하는 스티어링 측정센서와, 차량의 가속도를 센싱하여 가속도데이터를 생성하는 가속도센서를 포함하는 센서입력부, 상기 스티어링 각도데이터 및 상기 가속도데이터를 기반으로 기 설정된 알고리즘을 통해 파워 스티어링 토크를 추정하는 연산부 및 상기 연산부에 의해 추정된 파워 스티어링 토크와 상기 스티어링 토크데이터를 비교하여, 인휠 모터 및 인버터를 포함하는 구동계의 고장 여부를 판단하는 고장판단부를 포함한다.
