In the world of RF analysis, the need to study the characteristics and behavior of a satellite antenna in its range of design frequencies is very frequent. There is not always the opportunity to have the antenna available and less frequently its electromagnetic model: if we add to all this the lack of facilities in the open field, the near-field measurement is the forced solution, but requires a large calculation effort once all the measurements have been collected. This paper provides a solution for a near-field measurement system for antennas and then the determination of the near-field to far-field pattern, highlighting the probe position error compensation.
