This paper presents the design and implementation of a Smart Parking System that automates the processes of number plate recognition, parking space allocation, and vehicle detection. Utilizing state-of-the-art sensors and image processing techniques, the system aims to improve parking management efficiency. The system continuously tracks vehicles, including cars, bikes, and other types, in real time and monitors available parking spaces, indicating those available for new vehicles. A core feature is Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR), which records and stores vehicle plate numbers upon entry, logging the data in a central database and tracking the vehicle until its exit. This system enhances both the user experience and operational efficiency by reducing the need for manual intervention, improving the accuracy of vehicle identification, and integrating data seamlessly for more effective parking management.
