Incorporating of high power, ultrafast 1550nm fiber laser in the Terahertz technology, can build a Terahertz spectroscopy system more compact, low costs and with exemption of water cooling. 1550nm fiber laser technologies and Terahertz excitation based on it are reviewed; our latest progress and results are presented.
