The proposal concerns plans to improve runways at Stewart Airport in Newburgh, N.Y. together with extension of the parallel taxiway, and strengthening of the associated lighting. Environmental impacts include a partial loss of Crest View Lake, loss of agricultural land, loss of trees, increased aircraft noise and air pollution, and a slight contamination of the water supply.
