The Model Study of the Bonneville Navigation Channel was conducted at the Bonneville Hydraulic Laboratory, Bonneville, Oregon. It was the general purpose of this study to determine the best improvement plan to eliminate hazardous currents at the entrance to the downstream lock approach canal and to provide an efficient tailrace channel with a minimum of head loss and shoaling at the channel exit.
