The report covers Arkansas' experience in making the CHLOE profilometer field operational. This coverage includes (1) an explanation of the basic principles of the profilometer, (2) description of the profilometer, auxiliary equipment and towing vehicle, (3) discussion of calibrations and adjustments prior to field operations and (4) description of field procedures. In addition, the calibration and operation of the Texas Texturemeter are described and procedures for the determination of serviceability indexes are detailed. (Author)
