The proposed project contemplates the following items: The aquisition of land for airport development and Northeast, East, Souhwest and West clear zones; The removal of obstructions, relocation of utilities and grading for ILS system on 9R-27L; The installation of safety fencing; The construction, lighting and marking of 9L-27R (3,250' x 75') including VASI and REILS; The construction, lighting and marking of connecting and parallel taxiways (7,235' x 40') and (410' x 75'); The extension, lighting and marking of an apron (approximately 17,600 square yards). The proposed new runway (9L/27R) and parallel taxiway network will be in closer proximity to the residential area on the north side of the airport than the present runway. The ambient noise level for a few houses near the north boundary of the airport will be increased slightly. No significant unadvoidable adverse environmental effects are contemplated. (Author)
