The project concerns the clearing and enlarging of runways for the Oakland-Pontiac Airport, Pontiac, Oakland County, Michigan. The project was determined to have little impact on the environment. Land acquisition has necessitated the relocation of ten houses and their occupants on the north side of the airport, and seventeen houses and one business on the east side of the airport. In each case the occupants have been successfully relocated. Traffic patterns for this new runway should not expose additional areas to overhead aircraft noise. The projects under consideration have not been controversial.
