A grant is sought to assist in the final design, construction, and acquisition of land of an approximate 8.5 mile portion of the Baltimore region rapid transit system in the city of Baltimore, Maryland. Some congestion and air pollution around fringe parking will increase slightly, but the reduction of total vehicles going into CBD will reduce the overall congestion and improve ambient air quality. Relocation of forty-six families and thirty-two businessmen will be required.
