The project consists of clearing and snagging the channel of Dry Fork, a tributary of Tug Fork of the Big Sandy River, to provide partial flood protection for the Berwind, West Virginia area. The clearing of the banks and change in flow patterns will cause a temporary increase in erosion and sedimentation.
